Even when Pinterest didn’t exist, we started wedding planning years before we got a ring! We know that the wedding vision means a lot to our brides. The wedding vision is important to us too, because it often gives us inspiration for your dress! We try to learn as much about your wedding vision before you come into Adore, and we never stop trying to help you achieve it. It can be really challenging to carry a vision out through bridal, maids and men! We can’t imagine factoring in all of the other wedding elements! This week we are going to see how our December #AdoreRealBride, Tiara, brought her wedding vision to life!
Tiara was extremely organized with her wedding planning. When we asked to see her Pinterest board, she sent us five links because she had five boards! That makes us smile, especially because one board was dedicated to cake. Yes, please. Pinterest was a helpful tool for Tiara, as it is for so many brides. It’s so easy to spend a few minutes looking through your Pinterest boards whenever you’re in need of a little inspiration. Austin and Tiara also used Pinterest to collaborate through their wedding planning. Austin even had a board that he pinned his wedding ideas to. We think this is a great way to make sure that both the bride and groom are part of the wedding planning process!
You have probably seen Austin and Tiara’s engagement and wedding photos in previous blog posts. If you missed it, check out their love story here, and find out how we met Tiara here. Sharon Guillote Photography captured Austin and Tiara’s wedding day. Sharon did a wonderful job, and we have really enjoyed looking through the photos. You can visit Sharon’s website here, and her Instagram here.
Austin and Tiara had their reception at one of our favorite Peoria, IL venues – The Waterhouse. There are two different spaces in The Waterhouse. Austin and Tiara held their reception in the Distillery Room, which perfectly matched their rustic theme. The Distillery Room has wood floors, brick walls, and wooden beams running through the ceiling. As you can see in the images, the room turned out beautifully for their wedding day.
The cake was Tiara’s favorite part of the wedding – at least it was high on the list! Austin is the one who found the cake. He isn’t a fan of a lot of icing, so when he saw naked cakes he knew it would be perfect. Tiara agreed, but Austin thought that since she gave up frosting she should have something else she loves: coffee! It was the perfect cake for Tiara and Austin. Tiara says, “the cake is pretty much how we handle everything in life: we find a way to make what we both love an integral part of the day.” That is a great reminder for all of us.
Another special element to the cake is that it was made by Tiara’s best friend who is the owner of Bushel and a Peck. She certainly did a wonderful job making the cake!
The pictures from Austin and Tiara’s wedding show how wonderfully all of the elements came together. If you are currently planning a wedding we hope that you feel inspired to enjoy the process as you read about Austin and Tiara’s wedding planning experience.
