It’s time to introduce the May #adorerealbride. Sara was one of those brides that we will just never forget. She very possibly had one of the sweetest spirits of any person I have met. In fact she just came back in the store the other day with a friend of hers and even after her wedding almost a year ago I still absolutely adored the opportunity to see her and receive a sweet Sara smile!
As I learned more about Tyler and Sara’s love story there was one word that seemed to continue to appear. Fairytale. So many things about their world together fall into this category. From the first time that their eyes met on the marching band field (yes, they met at band camp!). To “their first awkward date.” And then on to the moment she new he was the one as he cared for her little kitty Lilly. And, of course, there is their fairytale wedding where Sara got to marry her marine.
Remember how I said band camp? That’s right, it’s where it all began! Sara is one of those true romantics and it’s one of the things we love about her.
Tyler was leading the the morning workout session and that is when my eyes first found him.
A short week and a half later he asked her to dinner.
I rushed back to my apartment to get ready and to this day still remember the exact clothing both of us were wearing for our date.
And how did it end?
After dinner I remember being so happy and filled with butterflies hoping that relationship would turn into something like the fairytales.
I think you got your wish Sara!
I don’t know why, but I love a proposal story where it starts with the girl being angry at the guy. So when Sara and Tyler’s started with her getting frustrated at not being able to get ahold of Tyler on Christmas Eve I was hooked. Sure enough, turns out he was out with Sara’s father asking for her hand. 🙂 Sara and Tyler had made the decision to do homemade gifts that year. So Tyler kept his word and instead of wrapping up the ring he had made a collage in a picture frame of pictures from the 3 years that they had been dating. The last slot for a picture instead held the words “Sara, will you marry me?”
To this day I’m still not exactly sure if I said yes but I guess that’s history
As I think about their story and look towards their wedding day fairytale is really the only word that comes close to capturing their story. So although we will save the details of the wedding until next time. Enjoy just this image of what I consider a perfect representation of Cinderella and Prince Charming. And then as I looked through their wedding images, sure enough, there it was. The cake topper!
Until next time – XOXO,
